JMIZHAIR is ME, an independent stylist! A one-woman show that currently operates out of Salon Molecule. Salon Molecule is a coworking salon that is home to other independent stylists. We all manage our own businesses, scheduling, and phone calls. Calls to the Salon Molecule phone number do not get answered and are used only for building access.

I do not offer text or call-based scheduling. This is due to the forms I require previous to booking. If the time you're looking for isn't available on Vagaro, please utilize the wait-list option liberally. Vagaro will inform you of openings based on the wait-list options you have chosen. Weekend haircuts can be booked after the 1st of the previous month. Weekend color can be booked at the time of consultation or at your previous service.

VAGARO! Reschedule Here. You can cancel and change any service within the 24 hours previous to your appointment at your leisure. I also do not offer text or call-based cancellations or rebookings. If you are needing to cancel or rebook less than 24 hours before, then I ask you, only in that instance, to please text me directly at (312)344-3739. You will be subject to a 50% of services scheduled penalty and responsible for finding a better-suited time slot yourself. This policy also applies to a reduction of services, ie being booked for a cut and color and upon arrival asking to skip one of the booked services or asking to have a neck/bang trim instead of a full cut. Persistent and abusive use of the cancellation and rescheduling policy can result in a mandatory, non-refundable deposit before a service request is accepted at my discretion.

JMIZHAIR is conveniently located near the Irving Park Brown Line stop, the Irving Park (80) CTA, a short walk from the Ashland (9 & x9) CTA, the Montrose (78) CTA, and the Damen (80) CTA. There is also a Divvy Station directly across from the building I occupy.

There is a keypad where you can enter 047 for Salon Molecule Suite 205. You can only be buzzed in that way. I'm located on the second floor in Suite 205. Please save that code to my contact info. There is another Salon Molecule suite and mistakenly entering their code may not grant you access to the building as that code does not ring the suite I am working in. I book back to back and am usually unable to answer texts regarding the door. I also cannot open the door through my cell nor the Vagaro app. If you hear our voice message, please disconnect and try again because my hands were probably in somebody's hair and I missed you.

Payment for services, products, and gratuity can be made to my Venmo for business account, cash or all major credit cards, excluding Visa with a 3% processing fee.

I offer services to all ages of individuals that are enthusiastic about receiving them. There is a slight price break for children under 9 as they are not shampooed unless booked as such. This is due to the size of the child and the adult-sized shampoo bowls in the salon space not always being a great fit. Children over 9 are often now producing sebum on the scalp, thus needing a shampoo service and typically requiring some support for personal hygiene practices, home care, and styling. Children over 9 are priced as an adult.

Shampooing and conditioning is an included part of all full services as well as a blow dry. Blow-out styles are an additional charge.

Fringe trims and back & side trims do not include shampoos. If you are scheduled for one of these express services, please make sure those sections of hair are reasonably clean and free of products. Hat/helmet head, barrettes, headbands, and extremely sweaty hair from jogging over can make this service more of a challenge. If you would also like a shampoo for any of the express services, simply book a full service and let me know we'll only be addressing those areas that day.
